Hospitality Training Program

  The Hospitality Training Program is a 5-week hands-on PAID training aimed at preparing Rhode Islanders with the skills they need to acquire jobs in the rapidly growing field of Hospitality. The 5-week training session will prepare individuals to work in a number of positions throughout the Hospitality industry. Participants will be instructed in key employment areas such as:
          • Essentials Job Skills
          • Hospitality/Point of Sale Software Training
          • ServSafe Alcohol
          • ServSafe Kitchen Manager
          • ServSafe Food
          • Wine Service and Pairing
          • Event Set-up, Service, Breakdown
          • Customer Service Skills and much more!
Sessions
*Culinary
Culinary Training: 3/11/19 to 5/24/19
*Service
Service Training: 4/29/19 to 3/25/18
Times
Classroom hours for service training will be from 9am to 3pm, while internship times will vary.
Cost
No Cost to Participate. Participants paid $10.10 per hour during training and internship.  Tools and Materials Provided.
Requirements
Participants must meet a few physical requirements, and pass a BCI for theft and violent crimes only.
