GED Summer Schedule
Summer class will be held Monday evenings 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. until Monday September 4th, 2017. Extra help will be provided Wednesday mornings 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Fall 2017 Enrollment
Fall 2017 Registration and Orientation will take place in the first week of classes September 11th to 14th.  Please call to sign-up for one of our 6 day or evening orientation sessions.  If you have taken part in our Summer GED course you may not need to re-register; speak with our Student Services Coordinator, Ruth, to determine your enrollment status. It's never too late! The GED® is a nationally recognized high school equivalency credential. For more information about the GED® program, visit Education Exchange offers GED® Prep Classes at four different locations in Southern Rhode Island. We pride ourselves on our qualified and credentialed teachers who bring an enthusiasm for teaching and a plethora of adult education experience into our classrooms.
The Facts
Adults who earn a GED® credential can earn the same level of weekly wages as high school graduates, increasing their earning potential by about $115 per week. By 2018, 63% of all U.S. jobs will require education beyond high school. Full-time workers with a high school diploma earn almost $10,000 more per year than those without a diploma.
The GED preparation program offers:
  • Mutli-level instruction for all types of adult learners
  • Approved Alternative Learning Program for ages 16+
  • Morning and evening classes offered
  • Classes meet 2 or 3 times a week
  • Instruction in reading, writing, science, math & computer studies
  • GED test preparation
ENROLLMENT during the Semester
Classes are ongoing with open enrollment and individuals may join at any time. Our classes run on a traditional academic schedule from September through May, with a short break for the holiday season.
Course Fee
  • Assessment & Testing: $50
  • Standard Tuition: $75
  • Financial assistance and payment plan options are available.
The Education Exchange offers some programs free of charge for participants who qualify through the Department of Labor and Training. Call for details.
